ShotUGC is an AI UGC video generator that helps e-commerce sellers create UGC-style video ads with AI actors, native multilingual voiceovers, and multi-shot edits. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data when you use our service and tells you about your privacy rights.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect and process the following personal information:

Name, email address, and (if provided) your store or brand name
User account credentials and authentication tokens
Billing details processed through our payment partners (we do not store full card numbers)
Usage data and interaction with our service
Technical data including IP address, browser type, device fingerprint, and locale settings

2.2 Service Usage Information

We collect information about how you use ShotUGC, including:

Product imagery, reference photos, brand assets, and source videos you upload
Scripts, product descriptions, hooks, and other text prompts you enter
Choices of AI actor, language, voice, aspect ratio, and other generation parameters
Generated video outputs, intermediate renders, and associated metadata (duration, model used, credits consumed)
Feature usage patterns, edit history, and download activity

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

To generate, render, store, and deliver the UGC videos you create
To operate billing, credit balances, subscriptions, and refunds
To improve and personalize the AI UGC builder (without using your uploads for model training — see Section 5)
To analyze usage patterns and optimize generation quality and reliability
To communicate with you about service updates, credit balances, and renewals
To provide customer support
To detect and prevent fraud, multi-accounting, or abuse of free credits and commercial licenses

4. Data Storage and Security

Account, billing, and project metadata are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Uploaded assets and generated videos are stored in S3-compatible cloud object storage with access-controlled, signed URLs. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest where the underlying provider supports it. We retain rendered outputs in your account until you delete them or your account is closed.

5. AI Training and Asset Use

We do not use the product photos, scripts, voice references, or generated videos you submit to ShotUGC to train any AI model, and we do not share them with third parties for model training. Your uploads are used solely to generate the videos you request and to provide you with the service. Third-party AI model providers we use to render videos do not retain your inputs after the render completes, in line with their enterprise/API terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

With service providers that help us operate the platform (cloud hosting, object storage, payment processors such as Stripe, LemonSqueezy, and Chargebee, transactional email, analytics, customer support, and AI rendering vendors), each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations
With ad-platform compliance reviewers only when you explicitly request commercial-use verification of a generated clip
When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public
In the event of a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition, or asset sale), with notice to you

8. AI Actors and Synthetic Likenesses

The AI actors available in ShotUGC are synthetic characters generated and licensed for use on our platform. They are not real, identifiable people. You may not upload photos or videos of real, identifiable individuals (including yourself, customers, employees, influencers, or public figures) to be used as actor sources unless you have their explicit written consent. Misuse of the service to create deepfakes or non-consensual likenesses is prohibited under our Terms.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and several core features require users to be at least 18 to handle commercial advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as language and aspect-ratio defaults), and measure feature usage. 13. International Data Transfers

ShotUGC serves sellers worldwide. Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your state, province, or country (including the United States and other regions where our hosting and AI-model providers operate), where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

14. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded assets and generated videos are retained until you delete them or close your account; we may keep limited records (such as invoices, credit transactions, and abuse logs) for the period required to satisfy legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations.

Our service may contain links to third-party websites such as ad platforms, marketplaces, and payment providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit.
